3'-O-Aminothymidine-5'-triphosphate is a novel nucleoside analog that is an activator of the human immune system and has antiviral activity. It is used in the treatment of cancer and AIDS. 3'-O-Aminothymidine-5'-triphosphate inhibits viral replication by inhibiting DNA synthesis, RNA transcription, and protein synthesis at different stages of the viral life cycle. This compound also inhibits tumor growth by interfering with DNA synthesis.
