O-(A-D-Galactopyranosyl)-D-galactose is a sugar that is used in the synthesis of complex carbohydrates. O-(A-D-Galactopyranosyl)-D-galactose can be fluorinated and methylated to produce o-(A-D-Galactopyranosyl)-2,6-dideoxy--glucose.
