Información del producto
- Isopropylidenemalononitrile
- Propan-2-Ylidenepropanedinitrile
- 2-(Propan-2-Ylidene)Malononitrile
2-Isopropylidenemalononitrile is a homologous organic compound that contains two identical molecules. It is a nucleophilic compound that reacts with strong inorganic acids to produce hydrogen gas and an inorganic salt. The reaction mechanism of 2-isopropylidenemalononitrile is similar to other nucleophilic substitution reactions. This product can be used as an intermediate for pharmaceutical preparations and as a raw material for cationic polymerization.
2-Isopropylidenemalononitrile has been shown to inhibit the activity of soluble guanylate cyclase, which is involved in the regulation of cellular levels of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). This inhibition may lead to increased blood pressure levels and decreased production of nitric oxide.
