Nickel sulphamate solution is a nickel salt that is used as a plating bath additive. It can be used to form the nickel-copper alloys. Nickel sulphamate solution has been shown to have a redox potential of -0.2 V and an optimum concentration of 0.5% to 1%. The use of nickel sulphamate solution for electroplating results in a higher quality coating, with less corrosion, than when using other solutions. In addition, it offers improved thermal expansion properties and increased mechanical strength of the coating.
