Descripción:MRT-83 is a drug candidate that has been shown to be active against leukemia cells, brain cancer cells, and breast cancer cells. MRT-83 binds to the cilium of human leukemia cells and inhibits the formation of hydrogen bonds. This leads to a disruption in the function of the cilium and subsequent cellular death. MRT-83 also binds to vitamin D3 in the body, which may lead to its clinical use in treating bone loss due to cancer treatment. Clinical development for MRT-83 is underway at this time.
