3-(Cyclopropylmethoxy)-1-oxa-8-azaspiro[4.5]decane is a prodrug of cyclopropylmethoxy-1,8-diazaspiro[4.5]decane that is metabolized in the body to produce dopamine. It exhibits high affinity for the jak2 v617f, an enzyme associated with autoimmune diseases, and has been shown to block glutamate release from nerve cells in culture, which may account for its ability to control brain functions such as locomotion and learning. 3-(Cyclopropylmethoxy)-1-oxa-8-azaspiro[4.5]decane also has significant potency against bowel disease, with effects similar to those of kappa opioid receptors.
