Descripción:Atrial Natriuretic Peptide (ANP) is a hormone that regulates blood pressure and fluid balance. Research has shown that ANP activates the receptor to inhibit the production of cyclic AMP, which is an intracellular second messenger. This process causes the opening of potassium channels, leading to hyperpolarization of the membrane, which decreases the excitability of cells. The ANP Antiserum is used as a research tool for studying the effects of ANP on ion channels and protein interactions in cell biology experiments.
