3'-O-Benzoylthymidine is a nucleoside that is used in the synthesis of DNA. It is a monomeric compound that contains two deoxyribose sugars and one deoxyribonucleotide. 3'-O-Benzoylthymidine interacts with the phosphite triester, which stabilizes the nucleobase. This reaction leads to the formation of a glycosidic bond between the phosphate group and the 5' carbon atom in the sugar ring of 3'-O-benzoylthymidine.
