1-(5'-O-Benzoyl-2'-deoxy-2'-fluoro-beta-L-arabinofuranosyl)thymine is an anticancer drug that belongs to the group of modified nucleosides. It is a novel, high quality, and highly pure anticancer agent that has been synthesized by modifying the chemical structure of thymine. As a result, it has high antiviral activity against DNA viruses such as herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV1), cytomegalovirus (CMV), and varicella zoster virus (VZV).
