It is an inhibitor of DNA polymerase and transcriptional regulation. The m2 phenotype, which is characterized by a high expression level of cyclin E and low levels of p21 and p27 proteins, is associated with the use of (5S,6S)-6-Amino-5-hydroxycyclohexa-1,3-dienecarboxylic acid. This drug has been shown to be effective in the treatment of breast cancer cells that have the m2 phenotype.
