It is a potent inhibitor of protein kinases and can be used as an antiemetic agent. 4-[2-(Diethylamino)ethoxy]aniline has been shown to inhibit the activity of multiple types of protein kinases, including serine/threonine, tyrosine, and dual-specificity kinases. This probe also inhibits the activity of chloride channels and has been shown to induce intramolecular hydrogen bonding.
