2,4,6-Triisopropylbenzyl Chloride is an organic compound that belongs to the group of chlorosulfonyl isocyanates. It is a highly reactive chemical that reacts with amines, thiols, alcohols, and carboxylic acids. 2,4,6-Triisopropylbenzyl Chloride is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of other chemicals. The reaction of this chemical with ammonia leads to the formation of chloromethanesulfenamide. This chemical also has a role in the synthesis of pesticides and pharmaceuticals. Inhibition by 2,4,6-triisopropylbenzyl chloride can be achieved using hydrolysis or sulfamate.
