2,4-Diamino-6-[2-(2-methyl-1-imidazolyl)ethyl]-1,3,5-triazine is a bifunctional compound that has been used to synthesize luminescent materials. It has an elemental composition of C 12 H 18 N 6 O 4 S. 2,4-Diamino-6-[2-(2-methyl-1-imidazolyl)ethyl]-1,3,5-triazine crystallizes in the monoclinic system and can be identified by xray diffraction. The ligands are coordinated to the metal atoms via nitrogen atoms. The thermal analysis of this compound shows it does not have any weight loss until it reaches 500°C and decomposes at 550°C.
