It has been shown to inhibit the synthesis of DNA, RNA and protein in cells infected with the herpes simplex virus (HSV). 7-Deaza-2'-deoxy-6-methoxyguanosine is also an anticancer agent that has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in animal models. This compound is synthesized by phosphoramidite chemistry and is a novel precursor for the preparation of modified DNA and RNA. The purity of this product is greater than 98%.
