Descripción:7-Deaza-2'-deoxy-2'-fluoroguanosine is a nucleoside that can be phosphorylated to form 7-deaza-2'-deoxy-2'-fluoroguanosine 5'-triphosphate. This compound has antiviral properties and may be used as an antiviral agent in the treatment of HIV/AIDS. 7DGTP inhibits HIV replication by inhibiting the reverse transcriptase enzyme. The mechanism by which this drug exerts its effects is not yet well understood, but it is believed that it binds to the active site of the enzyme and prevents it from hydrolyzing dNTPs.
