2'-Deoxy-2'-fluorocytidine-5'-triphosphate tetralithium (2'-FCTP) is a synthetic nucleotide analogue that is used in immunology research. It is used to study the molecular mechanisms of immune regulation and to profile the immune system's response to various stimuli. 2'-FCTP has been shown to increase the expression of IL-10 in human cells, supporting its use as an adjuvant for vaccines. The use of 2'-FCTP has been shown to be safe and effective in clinical trials with a staphylococcus aureus strain, although it does not have any activity against other bacterial strains such as Staphylococcus epidermidis.
2' FCTP can be used as a probe for studying the different types of T cell receptors and for profiling lymphoblastic cells. This technique can also be applied to other types of cancer cells such as TNF-α expressing
