2'-Deoxy-2',2'-difluorocytidine 5'-triphosphate triethylammonium salt - Aqueous solution is a triphosphate prodrug that inhibits the activity of two enzymes in the glycolysis pathway. It is an inhibitor of glucosyltransferase, which catalyzes the transfer of glucose from UDP-glucose to proteins, and phosphofructokinase, which catalyzes the conversion of fructose-1,6-bisphosphate to fructose-6-phosphate. This drug has been shown to inhibit cancer cell proliferation in vitro and has been found to be effective against a wild-type strain of human colon cancer cells.
