1-(2',3'-Dideoxy-2',3'-didehydro-2'-fluoro-5'-O-trityl-b-L-ribofuranosyl)-uracil is a synthetic nucleoside that is activated by phosphorylation. This nucleoside is an antiviral and anticancer agent, and has been shown to be active against HIV, cytomegalovirus, herpes simplex virus type 1, and lymphocytic leukemia cells. It has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties.
