Descripción:OTS 964 is a thiabendazole prodrug that binds to the endosomes of cancer cells and activates into an anticancer drug. OTS 964 is introduced in acidic environment, which disrupts the endosome membrane and releases the active form of this drug. This active form inhibits the production of growth factors, leading to apoptosis or cell death. OTS 964 has been shown to be effective for treatment of autoimmune diseases such as multiple sclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis. It has also shown efficacy against inflammatory diseases, such as psoriasis, by inhibiting the formation of prostaglandins.
