Descripción:1,N6-Ethenoadenosine-5'-monophosphate sodium salt is a synthetic nucleoside analog. It serves as an antiviral and anticancer agent by inhibiting viral DNA polymerase and tumor cell proliferation. This drug has been shown to be effective in animal models of cancer. 1,N6-Ethenoadenosine-5'-monophosphate sodium salt also inhibits the enzyme ribonucleotide reductase, which is needed for deoxyribonucleotide synthesis. 1,N6-Ethenoadenosine-5'-monophosphate sodium salt is chemically related to adenosine monophosphate (AMP). However, it is not active against AMP phosphohydrolases that are found in bacteria and some protozoa.
