ET-1 is an activator of ion channels and has been implicated in many physiological and pathological processes, including vasoconstriction, angiogenesis, cellular proliferation, and inflammation. The antibody reacts with human ET-1 with a high degree of specificity. It has been used as an immunological reagent for Western blotting and immunoprecipitation experiments.
