• Descripción: 5-Fluoro-2'-O-methyluridine is a nucleotide that can be used in the treatment of colorectal adenocarcinoma and other types of cancer. It inhibits the synthesis of DNA by blocking the activity of ribonucleotide reductase, an enzyme that converts ribonucleotides to deoxyribonucleotides. 5-Fluoro-2'-O-methyluridine has been shown to decrease the growth of human glioblastoma cells in cell culture and animal models. The effect is dose dependent and occurs through inhibition of RNA synthesis and protein synthesis, leading to cell death.
