Descripción:YM 750 is an anti-atherogenic drug that inhibits the formation of atherogenic low density lipoproteins (LDL) by inhibiting cholesterol acyltransferase. It also has inhibitory effects on thp-1 cells, which are human monocytic leukemia cells. YM 750 reduces the expression of a number of proteins in these cells, including apoptotic proteins and proteins involved in cellular differentiation. YM 750 is being investigated as a potential therapy for metabolic disorders and may be useful in the treatment of diabetes mellitus type 2.
