Descripción:Gadavist is a gadolinium-based contrast agent that is used in radiology to visualize the brain and other organs. Gadavist is injected intravenously and accumulates in the tissues, where it can be detected by MRI. Gadavist has been shown to be safe for use in humans at doses up to 7.5 mg/kg, and has been approved for use in Europe. The mechanism of action of gadobutrol is not fully understood, but it is thought that gadobutrol binds to mitochondria, which affects their membrane potential.
