4-(4-Chlorophenyl)-4H,5H,6H,7H-thieno[3,2-c]pyridine is a thiophene derivative that has been used as an imine. It is a protonated molecule with strong metal ion affinity and can be used to bind to Alzheimer's disease or obsessive compulsive disorder. 4-(4-Chlorophenyl)-4H,5H,6H,7H-thieno[3,2-c]pyridine has been shown to inhibit the activity of acetylcholinesterase by binding to the active site of this enzyme.
