EGFR is a protein tyrosine kinase that is activated in many cancers, including cervical cancer. JW 74 has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of cells in culture, as well as autophagy and cancer cell growth in vivo. This drug has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the activation of β-catenin.
