Descripción:ML375 is a non-competitive antagonist of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor. It has been shown to be effective in a series of functional assays and penetrant studies in wild-type mice. ML375 inhibits acetylcholine release from presynaptic neurons, and is effective at low doses. This drug has also been shown to decrease locomotor activity in rats, as well as improve motor coordination during the rotarod test. Pharmacokinetic properties show that ML375 is distributed throughout all tissues, with concentrations highest in the CNS and lungs, followed by skeletal muscle, liver, and kidney. The maximal response for this drug is observed at 1 µM concentration with an EC50 value of 0.024 µM.
