ESI-09 is a novel drug candidate that has been shown to have synergistic effects with chemotherapeutic agents in the treatment of cancer. It is a potential drug target for cancer, and its anticancer activity may be due to its ability to reduce oxidative stress by activating antioxidant enzymes. ESI-09 has antioxidative properties and decreases the mitochondrial membrane potential, which leads to increased ATP levels. ESI-09 also has the ability to cause cell death by inhibiting aerobic glycolysis, which may be due to its inhibitory effects on the polymerase chain reaction (PCR).
