Descripción:STX64 is an inhibitor of sulfatase, a class of enzymes that catalyzes the hydrolysis of sulfate esters. It has been shown to inhibit cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. STX64 also inhibits steroid sulfatase, which is an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of steroids to inactive metabolites. This drug has a potential for use as a chemotherapeutic agent for breast cancer. STX64 binds to the active site of the enzyme and prevents other molecules from binding, thereby preventing the conversion process. STX64 may be used in combination with other drugs to prevent drug interactions by inhibiting their metabolism.
