Descripción:O6-Methylguanosine-5'-monophosphate is an antiviral agent that is modified ribonucleoside. It has been shown to inhibit the replication of human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) and herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) in cell culture. O6-Methylguanosine-5'-monophosphate inhibits viral DNA synthesis by competitively inhibiting the activity of diphosphorylated guanosine triphosphate, which is needed for DNA synthesis. This drug also inhibits the growth of cancer cells in culture and can be used as a potential anticancer agent.
