2′-O-(2-Methoxy-2-oxoethyl)-5-methyl-uridine is a nucleoside that can be used as an anticancer drug and antiviral agent. It has shown potent in vitro cytotoxic activity against human leukemia cells and other cancer cell lines, including breast, prostate, ovarian, and colon cancers. 2′-O-(2-Methoxy-2-oxoethyl)-5-methyl-uridine also has good antiherpetic potential. This compound is a novel and synthetic nucleoside with high purity, high quality, and excellent stability.
