N6-Cyclopentyladenosine-5'-O-monophosphate is a nucleoside that is a substrate for RNA polymerase and is involved in the regulation of transcription. It also has been shown to be localized in the nucleus, cytoplasm, and cell membrane. N6-Cyclopentyladenosine-5'-O-monophosphate is used in diagnosis as an immunochemical reagent for the detection of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) and it can be used to measure MMP-9 activity. The monoclonal antibody (mAb) against this nucleoside can be used to detect N6-Cyclopentyladenosine-5'-O-monophosphate in biological samples such as human serum or cell culture.
