It has been shown to have antiviral and anticancer properties. 2'-O-Propargylguanosine has shown to be an activator of the transcription factor NF-κB and to induce apoptosis in various cancer cell lines. This drug inhibits viral replication by inhibiting DNA polymerase, thereby preventing RNA synthesis.
