It also inhibits the growth of cancer cells by inhibiting the synthesis of DNA and RNA. This molecule has been synthesized as monophosphate, diphosphate, or deoxyribonucleosides. 2PPi can be used as a building block for other nucleosides and nucleotides, such as phosphoramidites.
