Descripción:ML336 is an antiviral agent that inhibits the replication of alphaviruses. ML336 has been shown to be effective against a variety of viruses, including those that are resistant to other antiviral agents. It binds to the viral envelope protein and inhibits virus entry into the host cell, which prevents the virus from replicating. The mechanism of action of ML336 is similar to that of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) inhibitor Maraviroc. Clinical trials have shown that ML336 is efficacious in inhibiting cellular and animal viruses, such as HIV-1, HIV-2, simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV), human cytomegalovirus (HCMV), and dengue fever virus (DENV).
