5-(1,1,1-Trifluoro-2-methylpropan-2-yl)isoxazol-3-amine is a drug that inhibits kinase activity and has been shown to be effective in clinical trials. 5-(1,1,1-Trifluoro-2-methylpropan-2-yl)isoxazol-3-amine is an inhibitor of serine/threonine protein kinase and has been shown to inhibit the activity of b-raf. This drug has also been shown to have a high affinity for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging. 5-(1,1,1-Trifluoro-2-methylpropan-2-yl)isoxazol--3--amine was found to bind to wild type mice but not knockout mice in a study where it was orally administered. PET scans showed significant radioactivity in the lungs and liver of wild type mice but not in knockout
