• Descripción: Gly-Gly-Tyr-Arg acetate dihydrate is a tetrapeptide and a ligand for the enzyme papain. It binds to the active site of papain and inhibits its proteolytic activity. Gly-Gly-Tyr-Arg acetate dihydrate has been shown to be an inhibitor of trypsin and chymotrypsin, but not other proteases. It has also been shown to inhibit the polymerase chain reaction and RNA synthesis in vitro.
