Psilocin is a hallucinogenic drug that is the active form of psilocybin, which is found in certain species of mushrooms. Psilocin can be detected in urine, blood and saliva after ingestion. The LC-MS/MS method is used to detect psilocin in biological samples. This method has been shown to be effective for monitoring the pharmacokinetic properties of this drug. Pharmacokinetics studies have also been conducted on rats to measure psilocin levels in the liver and brain tissue after administration of this drug.
