The cocatalyst can be either triethylaluminum or trimethylaluminum and the solvent can be either methanol or ethyl alcohol. Tris(2,4-pentanedionato)indium(III) is also used as a catalyst for the polymerization of olefin monomers such as butadiene, styrene, and methyl methacrylate.
