Cadmium acetylacetonate is a fluorescent compound that has been synthesized in the form of nanocrystals. It is chemically stable and can be used to measure the fluorescence resonance in cells. Cadmium acetylacetonate has shown an ability to induce epidermal growth and promote cell proliferation, which may be due to its ability to activate the epidermal growth factor receptor. The fluorescence probe can also be used for the detection of other molecules, such as semiconductors.
