Descripción:4-Amino-4'-hydroxybenzophenone is a benzophenone with a hydroxyl group in the ortho position. It has absorption spectra that are similar to those of benzene, but it is less soluble in solvents and more soluble in water. The molecule has two possible conformations, both of which have an equilibrium constant (K) of 10. The two conformations can interconvert by rotation about the C=C bond, which is referred to as torsion. This conformational change in the molecule alters its light absorption properties.
