N4-Benzoyl-2'-O-tert-butyldimethylsilyl-5'-O-tritylcytidine 3-CE phosphoramidite is an antiviral, anticancer, and activator molecule that is a monophosphate. It has been shown to be active against DNA viruses such as herpes simplex virus type 1, hepatitis B virus, and human immunodeficiency virus type 1. N4-Benzoyl-2'-O-tert-butyldimethylsilyl-5'-O-tritylcytidine 3-CE phosphoramidite can also be used in the synthesis of deoxyribonucleosides or ribonucleosides. This molecule has novel and modified structures that make it useful in the synthesis of nucleoside analogues with improved pharmacokinetics.
