Descripción

GS 39783-d8 is a baclofen analogue that has been shown to bind to the GABA receptor and is an agonist at this receptor. GS 39783-d8 has been shown to have a synergistic effect with other drugs, such as amitriptyline, in experimental models of inflammatory skin diseases. It has also been shown to inhibit cancer cell growth in prostate cancer cells. The pharmacokinetic properties of GS 39783-d8 are similar to those of baclofen, with a half-life of 2 hours and no active metabolites. This agent has also been shown to be effective against symptoms associated with Parkinson's disease and may have therapeutic potential for other neurological disorders.
