Descripción:2,4-Dichloro-6-methylquinazoline is a structural analog of the opioid receptor antagonist naloxone. It has been shown to bind to κ opioid receptors with an affinity that is 1000 times higher than that of naloxone and can be used as a substitute for naloxone in cases where naloxone is ineffective. 2,4-Dichloro-6-methylquinazoline has been shown to have antihyperglycemic activity in animals. It also possesses amine properties and can be used as an intermediate for pharmaceuticals.
