Información del producto
- 4-Nitrohomophthalic Acid
2-(Carboxymethyl)-4-nitrobenzoic acid is a dithiocarbamate that is used as a reagent in organic synthesis. It is soluble in water and has good solubility in organic solvents, making it useful for the synthesis of heterocycles. 2-(Carboxymethyl)-4-nitrobenzoic acid can be prepared by reacting aniline with trifluoroacetic acid and methyl methoxybenzylamine. This compound reacts with chloride to give chlorides, which are often used to synthesize other compounds. 2-(Carboxymethyl)-4-nitrobenzoic acid is also used as an antitumor agent. It binds to sulfhydryl groups on proteins and inhibits the activity of enzymes such as thiolesterase, tyrosinase, and phenolase that are required for the production of melanin or tyrosine.
