• Descripción: 3-(3-Methoxyphenyl)acrylaldehyde (3MPAA) is a phenolic compound that has been shown to have a variety of effects on mammalian cells. It can be used as an industrial preparation for polymers and fatty acids, and it has been shown to have insulin sensitizing properties. 3MPAA was found to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vitro, but not normal kidney cells. In addition, it can be used as a dietary supplement for the treatment of obesity and type 2 diabetes by activating PPARγ. Finally, 3MPAA has been found to inhibit the activity of polymerases involved in DNA replication through competitive inhibition.
