Descripción:4-(Chloromethyl)phenyl acetate is a nitro compound that is capable of inhibiting bacterial translocation in wild-type mice. It has been shown to decrease the influx of chloride ions into cells by binding to the membrane, preventing the formation of ion channels. 4-(Chloromethyl)phenyl acetate can also reduce lipid hydroperoxides and potentiate the activity of estradiol. This drug may be used to treat women with symptoms such as acne or endometriosis. The effects on phenotype are unknown because this drug has not been tested on humans.
