Información del producto
Ethyl 2-(p-toluenesulfonyloxy)acetate (ETSA) is a novel small molecule that selectively inhibits the growth of prostate cancer cells. ETSA binds to the active site of betaine: dimethylamine N-methyltransferase (BADM), an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of choline and methylamine into betaine. ETSA competitively inhibits BADM, thereby inhibiting cell growth.
ETSA has also been shown to have cytotoxic effects on cancer cells in vitro, indicating its potential use as a therapeutic agent for prostate cancer.
