It has been shown that N-Methylthiophene-2-carboxamide can modulate the conformational behavior of proteins, including their function as enzyme inhibitors, and it is also able to bind to DNA in a covalent manner. N-Methylthiophene-2-carboxamide can be used as a solvent for other molecules that are insoluble in water or other solvents.
