JW55 is a pluripotent cell compound that has been shown to inhibit tankyrase1/2 in vitro. This inhibition leads to the promotion of eye disorders, such as retinal degeneration and age-related macular degeneration. JW55 also inhibits β-catenin, which plays an important role in the regulation of cellular processes such as proliferation and differentiation. JW55 has been found to have a potential drug target for body mass index (BMI) and amyloid protein, which are associated with diseases such as Alzheimer's Disease. It is believed that JW55 may be able to bind with hydrogen bonds or polymerase chain reactions (PCRs) for natural compounds.
